This new changing-theme magazine hits newsstands this Easter, alongside the long-running My Little Pony Magazine.
My Little Pony is one of the most successful brands in Hasbro’s robust portfolio. Achieving record sales in 2017, the magazine is reaching its 100th issue this year, and there is demand in the market for another magazine that celebrates all the varying fun themes and incredible extensive assets the brand has to offer, says Signature Publishing.
Each issue of the My Little Pony Special will centre on a different My Little Pony theme or style. To kick off the launch, the first issue features three gifts for readers to unwrap, plus a limited edition My Little Pony newspaper.
“My Little Pony is such a brilliant brand to work with, so we’re really excited to be able to create these My Little Pony Special magazines,” enthused Amanda Clifford, Editorial Director. “It means we can explore and celebrate more of the wonderful world of Equestria by focusing on themes that we can’t fit into the regular magazine. It’s also a great way of introducing new readers to the characters and storytelling, whilst providing the super loyal fans with lots, lots more My Little Pony magic that we know they love!”
“Signature Publishing has long created fantastic content for the My Little Pony brand,” said Michael Kelly, Head of Global Publishing, Hasbro Consumer Products. “We are thrilled that success of My Little Pony Magazine has boosted Signature Publishing to expand their offering and we know fans young and old will love the value they will receive with My Little Pony Special.”
The monthly magazine will launch on 29th March 2018, coinciding with the Easter school holidays.
My Little Pony Special is the seventh Signature Publishing title under license by Hasbro, sitting alongside My Little Pony, Transformers, My Little Pony Equestria Girls, Transformers Rescue Bots, Littlest Pet Shop and Hanazuki.
