The new title is aimed at intermediate to experienced quilters, delivering projects created by the most well-known and talented designers. The first issue goes on sale 17th September 2015, priced at £5.99 and will see 13 issues published a year.
Immediate is the UK’s biggest craft publisher and is the home of titles such as Simply Crochet, Mollie Makes and World of Cross Stitching. The new title launches into the quilt magazine sector, and sits alongside sister title Love Patchwork & Quilting which launched two years ago.
According to the publishers, the magazine will see exquisitely photographed quilts delivering lots of inspiration, while expert technical features ensure quilters are always improving their skills for stunning results. There will also be the latest news from the world of quilting, events and shows to visit, in-depth designer profiles, explorations of the heritage behind the quilts, plus lots of chat from the quilting community, and every issue comes with a free gift. The magazine will be accompanied by a blog www.todaysquilter.com. The magazine will be edited by Jenny Fox-Proverbs.
Liz Taylor, Publisher said: “Today’s Quilter is our second launch into the quilt magazine sector. It compliments contemporary title Love Patchwork & Quilting perfectly by offering something new to traditional quilters and will further cement our strength in this market. We have already received very positive feedback from the industry and readers alike and we are excited to be an even bigger part of this thriving community.”
