The client-agency jury, led by Alessandra Bellini, Tesco's chief customer officer, whittled down the entries to a shortlist of 44.
Alessandra Bellini said: “Chairing the Newsworks Planning Awards has been a great experience and I’ve been really impressed by the standard of the entries submitted – which is no mean feat considering there were quite a few! While the shortlisted entries each demonstrate uniquely brave and creative ideas, almost all also share one thing: clear business results. It’s exciting and refreshing to see how newsbrands are being utilised to realise these ambitious targets. I look forward to congratulating the winners!”
Vanessa Clifford, CEO of Newsworks, added: “It’s been a record year for the Newsworks Planning Awards, with over 100 entries keeping our judging panel very busy. The winners will be announced at a party at the Century Club on Thursday 29 November 2018.
