PPA welcomes EMAP into membership

EMAP, the multi-channel publishing, conferences and awards business, has been welcomed into the membership of the Professional Publishers Association (PPA).

The company will help shape the association’s strategy and activities for business publishers as part of the PPA Business Media Group (BMG).

EMAP CEO Natasha Christie-Miller will join senior figures from UK data and business publishing on the PPA BMG Board, which is chaired by Michael Dell, Senior Vice-President of business and data publisher IHS and Managing Director of IHS Jane's.

Barry McIlheney (pictured), CEO of the PPA, said: “EMAP is home to some of the most recognisable and respected brands in business publishing, and we are delighted to welcome them into PPA membership. I look forward to working with Natasha Christie-Miller and her colleagues to build on our promise of promoting and protecting the interests of business publishers.”

Michael Dell, Chairman of the PPA’s Business Media Group, said: “The data and business publishing landscape continues to evolve at pace, making it all the more critical that this industry comes together to address emerging issues, and acts upon them as a collective force. I’m pleased that EMAP shares the vision held by the BMG Board and has committed to play its part in driving our activities forward.”

Natasha Christie-Miller said: “I am looking forward to working with the PPA Business Media Group as we collectively work to create a sustainable, stable publishing future. With quality journalism at the core of all our successful, multi-platform brands, we continue to offer innovative ways to curate content, inspire and celebrate the communities we serve.”
