Publishing professionals sought to provide vital industry feedback

Creative Skillset is seeking publishing professionals to join industry panels, which will be vital in shaping future strategies and supporting the UK Creative Industries in remaining globally competitive.

Both employers and professionals across the industry are encouraged to respond, including those working within news media, books and journals, magazines and business media. Panel members will be asked their opinions on matters ranging from skills gaps and training to the future needs of the industries.

There will be no more than four short surveys a year, says Creative Skillset, which will be accessed online and contain no more than ten questions at a time. Contributors will get priority access to the survey results within two weeks of the survey deadline.

The next survey will take place from 14-20 October 2013, and will focus on the future trends of the industry, including skills needs, technological advancements and investment opportunities.

Stephen Page, Faber CEO, Creative Skillset board member, says: “Only by building a comprehensive picture of the workforce, its strengths and its future skills needs can we implement measures to ensure the industry, and professionals within it, remain world-class. One way of identifying needs and determining solutions for the industry is via panel participation. If you want to influence your sector beyond your day-to-day job, then I urge you to register for Creative Skillset’s panels.”
