The new RCNi Journals platform has been created with the modern nursing professional in mind, says RCNi. The mobile experience has been significantly enhanced with the introduction of adaptive design to ensure that all the latest developments and best practice guidance can be easily read on any device.
In addition, users can now access journal content ahead of print as well as advanced article metrics powered by Piwik and PlumX. This combines traditional metrics and altmetrics, including usage, captures, mentions in news articles or blog posts, social media interactions and citations.
There is also the option for users to personalise their experience using the new ‘My account’ section. In this section, users can select their areas of interest and choose how frequently they would like to be kept up to date via journal e-alerts.
RCNi managing director Rachel Armitage says: “RCNi is delighted to partner with MPS to host our journals on Scholarstor. Our partnership delivers an enhanced user experience for our institutional and individual customers, and enables our authors to monitor the impact of their articles through a combination of traditional and altmetric measures.”
