Tatler launches treasure hunt in support of Cancer Research

Tatler has joined forces with the fashion elite to donate pieces which will be sold in Cancer Research UK shops across the UK from September as part of the first Tatler Treasure Hunt.

The influential designers have pledged to donate one piece a season for the next three seasons to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.

Contributing designers include Alberta Ferretti, Anya Hindmarch, Belstaff, Bulgari, Burberry, Chanel, Charlotte Olympia, Christian Louboutin, Daks, Diane von Furstenburg, Dolce & Gabbana, Emilia Wickstead, Erdem, Fendi, Jenny Packham, Jimmy Choo, Maje, Manolo Blahnik, Matthew Williamson, Miu Miu, Moschino, Mulberry, Nicholas Kirkwood, Paul Smith, Ports 1961, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Roksanda Ilincic, Roland Mouret, Rupert Sanderson, Stella McCartney, Temperley, Tod’s and Tommy Hilfiger.

But there’s a twist.

The products will be dropped off at random, so shoppers are being encouraged to keep popping into their local shop for the chance to nab a designer creation at an incredible price, which will be hidden alongside items that the local community has donated.

Kate Reardon, editor of Tatler, says: "With the Tatler Treasure Hunt more than 30 of the world's top designers have committed to donating one piece a season for the next three seasons to be sold in Cancer Research UK shops all over the country. These will be delivered to random shops at random times, so it's ALWAYS worthwhile popping in – you might just find something spectacular!"

Kate has supported Cancer Research UK for many years and was appointed a Member of Cancer Research UK in 2007.

Simon Ledsham, trading and operations director at Cancer Research UK, said: “It’s great news that Tatler and its closest friends are working with us on this exciting project, giving our shoppers the chance to discover even more designer bargains in our shops. These generous gifts from some of the world’s top designers will collectively raise much needed money for our work to help beat cancer sooner.”

Cancer Research UK shops rely on the generosity of supporters to help keep their shops stocked. Everyone is encouraged to donate any brand of clothes, shoes, bags, quality homeware, books, CDs and DVDs that they no longer need.

Cancer Research UK has 554 high street shops across the UK, with all profits going to the charity’s life-saving work.
