TeamRock Reveals Future Plans

As TeamRock celebrates its first birthday this week, it has announced future plans for the business.

A new online editorial team has been created and headed up by Paul Brannigan, who joins the company as Online Editor for TeamRock. Paul brings a wealth of knowledge as a bestselling music biographer and former editor of Kerrang! magazine. Joining his team is Fraser Lewry as Online Editor for Classic Rock and Luke Morton as Online Editor for Metal Hammer. With considerable online experience gained working for The Word and Front magazines respectively, they will spearhead TeamRock’s move to be the number one source for online rock stories and news, says the publisher.

To support them, and based in the company’s brand new headquarters in Scotland, TeamRock has also created a news team with Online News Editor Martin Kielty and Deputy News Editor Stef Lach providing live news content to TeamRock.com as well as its social sites and magazine websites. Martin has been Online News Editor for Classic Rock for the past two years, while Stef is a news reporter who has worked for the Evening Times and Glasgow Herald.

Adding historical depth to our online offering, says TeamRock, music journalist, author and world-renowned authority on everything metal, Malcolm Dome joins TeamRock as Archive Editor. His role is intended to establish TeamRock as the number one online source for classic stories for the world of rock, and see the creation of a massive reviews database.

TeamRock has also announced three key appointments to its new Digital Magazine Team. Aaron Standen and Mark Critchell join as Digital Art Editors, and Emma Johnston joins as Digital Production Editor. This team will take the magazines to a new level, allowing readers to enjoy extra content and embrace interactivity, making the most of the new technology available to tablet users.

Chief Executive, Billy Anderson said: “In the last year we have launched a new radio station, created 53 new permanent staff roles across London and Glasgow and formed 10 new departments within the business. At TeamRock we are surrounded by the best talent in the industry from Chris Ingham who has worked across all our titles since 1995 and grown them into the great products they are today. Jerry Ewing who launched Prog, and was part of the team who created Classic Rock to Geoff Barton who founded Kerrang!, as well as the new teams and people now in place. It’s been an exciting year, but TeamRock really, has still only just begun.”

The creation of all these new content teams will see the launch of TeamRock.com, in June 2014. A platform that will provide rock fans all over the world with one rock website to rule them all: with exclusive news, interviews and multi-media content, covering every corner from the world of rock, says TeamRock.

TeamRock.com will be managed by the new Senior Editorial Team, as recently announced, comprising of Scott Rowley, Alexander Milas, Brad Merrett and Alex Burrows, and will be overseen by Managing Director, Chris Ingham.

TeamRock owns national DAB radio station TeamRock Radio as well as a portfolio of rock magazines, including Classic Rock and Metal Hammer, Blues, Prog and AOR.
