Telegraph announces changes to jobs section

The Daily Telegraph has announced that, from January 14, 2010, its Thursday Jobs section will move to become part of the Business section.

With more CEOs, Directors and MDs reading The Daily Telegraph than any other quality daily newspaper, says the Telegraph, the move means that employers who recruit through Telegraph Jobs will now see the best in business looking at their job opportunities.

The Telegraph’s statement continues: “The Daily Telegraph’s Business section is the only stand-alone daily Business section. It features sharp comment and analysis from Jeremy Warner, together with Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, Tracy Corrigan and leading economist, Roger Bootle.  The section also includes the City’s best-loved character, Alex, and weekly advice for small businesses and start-ups from Richard Tyler.

Editorially, Telegraph Jobs will continue to provide insight in its core markets of engineering, manufacturing, energy, oil and gas, sales, defence and construction. Duncan Bannatyne, James Caan and John Timpson will offer advice for those looking to succeed and throughout the year there will be 12 'Careers In' specials. The first of these will appear on January 20 and will focus on careers in defence.

James Lancaster, newly appointed Classified Advertising Director at Telegraph Media Group said: “We now have an even more powerful and unique recruitment opportunity that we fully anticipate will increase the levels of response from our 1.9 million readers and the quality of candidates for employers.””
