Telegraph Men partners with ‘Being A Man’ Festival

Telegraph Media Group (TMG) has announced that its dedicated online men’s channel, Telegraph Men, will be the exclusive media partner for Southbank Centre’s ‘Being A Man’ Festival, taking place from Friday, 31st January to Sunday, 2nd February.

Telegraph Men, which launched in September, will run several feature articles in the run-up to the festival in collaboration with some of the festival’s high-profile contributors.

The media partnership will include a homepage takeover of the Telegraph Men channel as well as various leaderboard and MPU advertisements. The partnership will also include the opportunity for readers to win tickets to the festival via an online competition.

‘Being A Man’, to be held at the Southbank Centre, London, will comprise a busy three-day programme of talks, debates and performances exploring various aspects of modern masculinity, including fatherhood, gang culture, mental health, sex and much more. Contributors include musician Billy Bragg, novelist Nick Hornby, David Lammy MP, artist Grayson Perry, Ziauddin Yousafzai (father of Malala Yousafai), and newsreader Jon Snow.

Paul Davies, Editor, Telegraph Men, said: “Like Telegraph Men, Being A Man provides a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness of some of the serious issues that confront men in the 21st century. I’m delighted that we’re able to support this festival.”

Lori Cunningham, Director of Digital Revenues and Strategy, TMG, said: “This media partnership serves as evidence of Telegraph Men’s success and how the channel is continuing to progress commercially in new and innovative ways, whilst offering our audience the content they crave.”

Jude Kelly, Artistic Director of Southbank Centre, said: “The Being A Man festival is intended to provide a platform for conversations on how men’s roles are evolving in the 21st century. It's an opportunity, amidst all the debate about men, for men themselves to come together to share stories, discuss the pleasures and challenges of being men, and look at what kind of world they want for themselves and others.”
