Set within Battersea Evolution and its picturesque surroundings, the indoor/outdoor hybrid will allow organisers, Telegraph Events, to create a “unique mountain village experience giving exhibitors an optimal environment to promote their resorts, holidays and products”.
Visitors will be transported to the mountains as they explore the resort, sampling authentic food, visiting après bars, shopping in the new outdoor village and browsing over 200 top snow sports brands and destinations within the show arena. 2015 will see an exciting line-up of live music sound tracking the event across two stages creating an après party in the heart of the city as well as the return of international pro-competition, The London Ride. Ski fans of all ages and origins will gape in awe at pro-riders showcasing their skills on a real snow kicker, following a 4 year absence from the capital, says the Telegraph.
The move to Battersea has been long in the planning. Following the announcement of Earls Court’s closure, organisers rejected traditional exhibition spaces in favour of Battersea Evolution’s flexible site and set up – which will allow a move away from restrictive catering options. In 2015, the team will work with caterer Smart Hospitality to create an authentic alpine food offering.
According to the Telegraph, the Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Shows go into 2015, following successful 2014 events, with growing visitor numbers in both London and Manchester. London’s final outing at Earls Court 2 reversed a decline in visitors, attracting 35,500 winter sports enthusiasts (a growth of 5%) despite the show condensing from 5 days to 4 days. Their northern offering saw a 3.5% growth, attracting 8,556 visitors to Manchester’s EventCity.
The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Show North will return to EventCity in Manchester on Friday 30th October – Sunday 1st November 2015.
The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Show London will take place at Battersea Evolution on Thursday 5th – Sunday 8th November 2015.
Earlybird tickets for the 2015 events will go on sale in January from www.skiandsnowboard.co.uk
