All,

We’re making steady progress against our 2024 priorities, in support of our ambition to be the number one sports news destination. And as was recently announced with The New York Times’ Q1 earnings, we continue to be on track to be profitable next year.

This week we’ll hit another strategic milestone in support of these ambitions as we migrate The Athletic’s website from theathletic.com to nytimes.com/athletic.

There are a number of behind the scenes benefits that are unlocked by making this change, from the ability to leverage new advertising and subscription tools and capabilities, to making The Athletic more easily accessible to New York Times subscribers by removing their need to log in on the web.

Otherwise, readers will get to experience the same exceptional sports news and analysis – just on a new URL.

David
