The Ireland edition of The Times now available in print

News Ireland has announced that the Ireland edition of The Times will be available in both digital and print formats from Saturday, June 3, 2017.

The Ireland edition of The Times was launched as a digital only format in September 2015, and offers a mix of Irish and international news, business, politics and sport as well as opinion and analysis. The digital newspaper was the first of its kind in Ireland for tablet, desktop and mobile users and provides readers with access to The Times and The Sunday Times content seven days a week, says News UK.

This print edition will replace the international edition currently in the market, building on the success of the digital version. It will continue to feature news and analysis from an experienced Irish team of up to 30 journalists including Niamh Lyons, Ireland political editor; John Walsh, Ireland business editor; Ellen Coyne, senior reporter and Aaron Rogan, senior reporter.

Readers of the print edition can also enjoy columnists such as Anne Marie Hourihane, Lise Hand, Cormac Lucey, Liam Fay, Colm Tobin and Jason O’Mahony.

In Sport, Ronan Early, Garry Doyle, Ewan McKenna, Christy O’Connor, Enda McEvoy, Denis Walsh and Michael Foley will report and provide analysis on GAA, football, rugby and a wide variety of sports, to add to coverage from the UK and around the world.

Distribution begins on June 3 and an integrated multi-channel campaign including radio, digital and out of home advertisements will help raise awareness of the new product around Ireland.

Richard Oakley, Editor of the Ireland edition of The Times, said: “We have built a loyal digital audience for the Ireland edition of The Times and we are now delighted to expand what we offer to include more Irish news, business, sport, opinion and analysis in print as well. The Ireland edition of The Times is a quality Irish newspaper with a global outlook.”
