The afternoon, hosted by comedian Pierre Novellie, awarded accolades to events professionals in the business and consumer media sectors across seven categories.
Live events are an increasing part of the publishing portfolio, with creative publishers finding new ways to reach a growing audience through experiential content, says the PPA.
Head of PPA Business Caroline Cronin said: “We’ve reinvented the 2017 Awards with a more relaxed tone – and a shift to an afternoon event. The success of the PPA Connect Awards lies in reflecting and rewarding the innovation and change happening in live events across the publishing sector.
“This year’s winners demonstrated how exceptional they are at achieving this, and at delivering valuable content to their audiences in a myriad of ways.”
