Bauer appoints Patrick Horton

Bauer Media have appointed Patrick Horton to the newly-created role of Head of Marketing, Mens and Entertainment.

Patrick Horton (pictured) joins from ACP Magazines in Australia, where he was Publishing Strategist and Associate Publisher for the Men’s group. In this role, he worked on the BBC Worldwide JV, managing the successful launch of a number of BBC products and a full brand launch of Top Gear in Australia and NZ. This included local magazine editions, topgear.com/au and a live Top Gear event in Sydney which attracted 75,000 people.

He will be responsible for the development and execution of market and brand strategies across FHM, Zoo, Homme Plus, Q, Empire, Mojo and Kerrang! and will work closely with the marketing, publishing, editorial and commercial teams to drive copy sales and revenue growth.He will also look to maximise cross promotional opportunities across the mens, music and film markets.

Prior to ACP, Patrick moved to Emap Australia in October 2006 as Circulation and Retail Marketing Director, where he also undertook publishing duties on Empire. He previously worked for Emap in the UK as Trade Marketing Manager and Head of Retail.

Patrick will report into Anne-Marie Lavan alongside Victoria Walker, Head of Marketing for heat, Closer and Parenting and Rebecca Eaves, Head of Marketing for Grazia, Yours, more and Top Sante. Rebecca's role will be covered by Sophie Stewart whilst Rebecca is on maternity leave in 2010.
