More than 20 members of the Community of Literary Magazines & Presses (CLMP) have participated in a new, fully searchable digital showcase developed in partnership with publishing solutions provider Exact Editions. The showcase, which is available via Exact Editions and on CLMP’s website for the rest of 2024, is a celebration of literary magazines with rich histories spanning more than two decades.
The magazines in this group, which includes Oxford American, the American Poetry Review and Ploughshares, have each contributed one recent magazine issue to the showcase, offering readers an opportunity to delve into recent work from a diverse range of literary powerhouses, added Exact Editions.
The showcase is powered by the Exact Editions platform, which displays each issue side by side and organised into alphabetical order. The advanced search function enables key words to be located within individual issues or the whole showcase at the click of a button, whilst linked contents pages and an alternative plain-text site allow for easy navigation and accessibility.
CLMP’s Executive Director, Mary Gannon, commented: “This showcase of stalwart journals reinforces the strength and vitality of the literary magazine landscape today. The featured magazine issues look beautiful on the Exact Editions platform, and it’s wonderful to be able to offer our members and the wider public a chance to read full issues of more than 20 publications and experience their excellence firsthand.”
