Cyclist to launch new edition in Italy

Dennis Publishing has announced the launch of Cyclist Italy in February 2016 with licensing partner Edisport Editoriale S.r.l.

The title was launched in the UK in 2012 and quickly garnered interest from licensing partners across the world, due to the unique appeal of its content, says Dennis Publishing.

According to the publishers, Cyclist is a premium brand that uses exclusive photography, working with the best photographers, something that resonates with global readers and advertisers alike. With high-end production values, the magazine offers a beautiful reading experience with expert reviews, beautiful imagery and in-depth articles.

In 2015 alone Cyclist was launched in Turkey, Germany and the Middle East. Cyclist Italy is the fifth international launch of the title, which is now available in 22 territories across three continents.

Edisport were particularly keen to launch this premium brand in Italy as road cycling is an extremely popular pastime in the country. Each year Italy plays host to Il Giro d’Italia, one of the most important road cycling races in the world.

Carlotta Serantoni, Senior Licensing Manager for Dennis Publishing, said: “It’s fantastic to partner with Edisport Editoriale for this launch. Cycling is so popular in Italy so we know it’s a market that’s ready for the magazine. Having already worked with Edisport on evo we know that they will do a great job of bringing this premium brand to the Italian people.”

Paolo Cionti, Chief Operating Officer of Edisport Editoriale said: “We are delighted to be working with Dennis on the launch of Cyclist in Italy. We are huge fans of the product, and enjoy working with the team in the UK. Italians love road cycling, and many of the top brands of both clothing and bikes are made in our country.”

The magazine will launch on the 15th February with an initial print run of 60,000 copies, with 10 issues published each year. The cover price will be €6.00 per issue.
