ELLE appoints Kenya Hunt

ELLE, Hearst’s fashion media brand, has announced the appointment of Kenya Hunt as Deputy Editor and Fashion Features Director of ELLE UK.

Reporting to Editor-in-Chief Anne-Marie Curtis, Kenya will adopt a more fashion-focused deputy role that reflects the new brand strategy, says Hearst. She will oversee the generation of editorial content for the magazine, continue to lead the curation of creative fashion features, and act as an overall guardian for the brand and its tone.

Kenya joined ELLE in 2015 as Acting Content Director and was later appointed Fashion Features Director. Prior to joining ELLE, she led the launch of the digital fashion sector at Metro International, after working as the paper’s Global Style Director for five years. In addition, she was formerly a contributing editor for Vogue Italy, and has written for titles including The Guardian and the American editions of Vogue, Marie Claire and InStyle. She began her career at Jane magazine.

Kenya Hunt, Deputy Editor and Fashion Features Director, ELLE UK, says; “As a long-time reader of ELLE and admirer of Anne-Marie Curtis’s work, I’m very excited to take on this role during such an exciting new chapter for the brand. ELLE has always been an innovative and progressive title and it’s thrilling to have the opportunity to push this forward during a dynamic time for media.”

Anne-Marie Curtis, Editor-in-Chief, ELLE UK, says; “Kenya is extremely creative and intelligent and possesses an innate understanding of ELLE that reflects our new strategy. I look forward to working closely with her and drawing on her valuable fashion expertise to implement our vision for the brand.”
