ELLE hires AOL managing editor for new digital role

ELLE UK, the fashion magazine and website published by Hearst Magazines UK, has hired respected AOL digital lead, Phebe Hunnicutt, as its new Digital Director.

Phebe, currently Managing Editor at AOL Women’s Group, has a wealth of experience in digital publishing and journalism having carved out a career at a number of high profile fashion websites including MyDaily and StyleList.com. She joined AOL as Style Editor at StyleList.com in New York in 2008 before moving to London to work at AOL’s MyDaily.co.uk as Managing Editor. Phoebe joins ELLE on March 13th.

At ELLE, Phebe will manage the successful ELLE website, www.elleuk.com, and help develop and manage the editorial and commercial digital strategy across the brand, utilising ELLE’s 360 approach to content across all platforms including web, print and digital editions.  

ELLE UK is one of the most digitally innovative luxury fashion magazines in the UK market place. According to Hearst, it has a unique ability to connect with audiences and deliver enhanced editorial content, including leading daily fashion, shopping and celebrity style news and trends, across multi-platforms.

ELLE’s magazine and website reaches a combined total of 1,094,000 readers, while its social media reach stands as 972,999 across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
