Elsevier has announced the launch of the Heart Disease Healthcare Hub in partnership with the JACC Journals – Journals of the American College of Cardiology. Elsevier says the Heart Disease Healthcare Hub is a one-stop shop for clinical and educational cardiology content for healthcare professionals, with new, evidence-based content added throughout the year.
According to the World Health Organization, cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the leading cause of death globally. In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lists heart disease as the leading cause of death, with about 1 in every 5 deaths from cardiovascular disease. Given the alarming cardiovascular disease statistics, the Heart Disease Healthcare Hub equips clinicians with vital resources for clinical review and patient education, aiming for improved patient outcomes by identifying those at the highest risk of CVD.
From the latest evidence-based clinical resources and information about prevention and treatment options available to patients, clinicians and healthcare providers can browse freely available evidence-based content from ClinicalKey, including:
- Clinical overviews
- Drug monographs
- Care Plans
- Nursing Skills
- Patient Education
The publisher says users can also access content from JACC Journals of the American College of Cardiology, including podcasts, journal articles, and case reports to support patients managing heart disease.
