Emma Slee appointed editor of Western Gazette

Emma Slee, currently head of content for the Western Gazette, has been appointed editor.

Emma (pictured) has worked in journalism for 17 years, having started her career as a trainee reporter at the Cornish and Devon Post Series. She joined Northcliffe in 2000 having secured the role of senior reporter/deputy news editor at the North Devon Journal. Emma has worked in a number of editorial roles around the group including content editor at the Exeter Express and Echo and acting news editor at the Derby Telegraph. She was appointed head of content for the Western Gazette in 2008.

Emma will play a key role in the business moving forward, helping to further develop both the Western Gazette and www.thisissomerset.co.uk
