Good Things magazine covers fine dining experiences, entertaining at home in style, as well as luxury travel experiences. The magazine has been established for just over a year.
A gold foil was chosen by Good Things magazine to match their Christmas cover design, which included a James Martin dessert. A proof was digitally printed and foiled on the header to test the result before the full run was produced, with the gold foil being applied at Celloglas in Reading and returned to the printer for binding.
Courtney Maggs-Jones, Publishing Director at Good Things, commented: “The gold foil on the cover produced a classic, high end finish for our luxury lifestyle title, working together with the cover photography to depict a show stopping dessert designed by James Martin.”
Good Things is printed litho, on a sheetfed press.
Steve Middleton, Sales Director at Celloglas, commented: “The gold foil enhances the sophisticated design used for this special festive issue, adding to its shelf appeal and reader experience. A die was made to apply the gold foil to the magazine header. This is a one off cost and can be used again on future runs, applying whichever foil colour is chosen to suit the design.”
The December issue of Good Things is out now and features 52 new festive recipes, the 12 chefs of Christmas, a behind the scenes feature at The Nutcracker and a luxury holiday competition.
