Great British Bake Off winner joins The Sunday Times

The Sunday Times has signed Candice Brown, winner of the 2016 Great British Bake Off, as a new columnist for monthly food magazine The Dish and The Sunday Times Magazine.

With her debut column in The Dish Christmas edition, published Sunday December 4, Candice shares her favourite festive bakes and writes candidly about the highs of being on the show, the lows of the dreaded internet trolls and her plans for the future, say the publishers.

The column is part of a 56-page glossy festive edition that also features Jamie Oliver’s foolproof guide to Christmas lunch, Esther Walker on surviving the season, how to make the perfect mulled wine and affordable stocking fillers for foodies.

In a special video series for The Dish, Candice shares tips on how to make her recipes, from apple crumble cake to clementine and cranberry Christmas pavlova.

According to the publishers, The Dish has a significant digital presence, particularly on Instagram, is attracting high numbers of viewers for its recipe videos and Facebook Lives, and has piloted innovative advertising campaigns for food and drink retailers that reach The Sunday Times’s highly engaged and affluent audience.

Laurel Ives, Editor of The Dish said: "Candice Brown charmed us all on Bake Off with her brilliant cakes, love of lipstick and contagious laugh. Baking for family and friends is all important to Candice, and I'm delighted to say that from now on she'll be sharing those much loved recipes with the readers of The Sunday Times."

Candice Brown said: "I feel very privileged to be able to share my ideas and recipes with the readers of The Sunday Times. It's so exciting to see my recipes in print and hope you enjoy making them as much as I have enjoyed creating them!"
