The launch coincides with the launch of the Lego Nexo Knights toy range and TV show in the UK. Nexo Knights stories are set in the Kingdom of Knighton. King Halbert’s hapless jester, Jestro, has been corrupted by the Book of Monsters, and together with their army of lava monsters, they wreak havoc in Knighton. The Nexo Knights heroes – Clay, Macy, Lance, Axl and Aaron - under the guidance of their hologram wizard mentor, Merlok 2.0, must work together to defeat Jestro and restore order. The first edition of Lego Nexo Knights Magazine comes with a Lance Minifigure with every issue.
A truly interactive magazine, say the publishers, every issue will have scannable Nexo Knights shields which will allow readers to power up in the Merlok 2.0 app to help save Knighton. Lego Nexo Knights Magazine will also have exclusive posters and stories, puzzles and quizzes, hero and villain features, competitions, and a Lego Nexo Knights Toy with every issue.
Pauline Cooke, Immediate Media Youth & Children’s Publishing Director, says: “We’re really excited to launch another fantastic Lego Magazine into our preteen portfolio, and continue our partnership with this engaging and entertaining brand. We hope readers will enjoy finding out about the adventures of Clay and the team as much as we enjoyed writing about them!”
Lego Nexo Knights magazine is the latest release from Immediate’s youth and children’s editorial team and its fifth Lego title, joining: Lego Friends, Lego Chima, Lego Elves and Lego Ninjago magazines.
Lego Nexo Knights magazine is on sale now priced £3.25 and monthly thereafter.
