John Brown names de Young as Client Services Director

Michelle de Young has returned to content agency John Brown as Client Services Director.

Michelle (pictured) will be responsible for marketing as well as business growth in the UK working with existing and new clients. She fills the role left vacant since Alex Silcox left the UK to run John Brown’s new Hong Kong office.

Michelle worked for John Brown 14 years ago and since leaving has held a number of different positions, including working for Carphone Warehouse as Sales Director for TalkTalk, where she was a founding member of the management team, presiding over sales growth of 250k to 3m customers in just three years. More recently she held the position of Sales Director for Home Learning College, the UK’s leading home study provider.

de Young said: “I’m delighted to be back at John Brown, they have always been the leaders in quality and innovation in magazine publishing and have successfully extended these talents to broader branded content for clients including digital and social media. They also now have the added advantage of being able to do all this globally with offices worldwide, and with 2012 marking their 25th anniversary, it’s the perfect time to remind clients just how good and experienced they are.”

Andrew Hirsch, John Brown’s CEO said: “Over the last two years we’ve invested in our global expansion. Now we’re in 2012, the focus is on growing our business here in the UK. Michelle is at the very top of her field and I’m delighted that she has rejoined the company.”
