Kay Barron joins Harper’s Bazaar

Women’s fashion magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, has announced the appointment of Kay Barron as Fashion Features Editor.

Kay Barron (pictured) joins Harper's Bazaar with more than 12 years’ experience as a Fashion Writer having worked at the magazines Vogue, The Acne Paper and The Face and having written for news papers including the Independent, Independent on Sunday, Daily Telegraph and The Observer.

Since 2008 Kay has written for Grazia in the role of Senior Fashion News and Features Editor, covering New York, London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks as well as editing the magazine’s website graziadaily.co.uk.

Kay, who is originally from Scotland, graduated from London’s Central Saint Martins College in 2003 and has been listed in the Observer’s Future 500 list in 2008 as a top name in Fashion & Retail, as well as nominated as ‘Communicator of the Year’ at the Scottish Fashion Awards in 2006.

In addition to Kay’s appointment, Harper’s Bazaar today announces the appointment of Vassi Chamberlain to the role of contributing Senior Editor.

Vassi joins Bazaar with a wealth of experience in journalism. Vassi started her career writing for Condé Nast’s Tatler in 1995, and was shortlisted as PPA Young New Journalist of the Year. She spent 12 years at Tatler before joining Vogue as a Contributing Editor. Vassi also works as a consultant to fashion brand  Lulu & Co and regularly contributes to national newspapers including the London Evening Standard, The Times and the Sunday Times, The Daily Telegraph and The Spectator. She is presently the London Editor of US cultural affairs website, 24h letter.
