Kennedy Publishing says from picture books to an animated TV series, Magic Light Pictures’ Pip and Posy have become a household favourite, tackling friendship ups and downs, through their world of play.
Launched in 2019, Everything magazine is a pre-school title designed to explore rotating themes and brands through bright and fun content, providing a foundation for this Pip and Posy one-shot, which will be on sale from 7th February 2024 and will be available at all key retailers.
The issue contains activities—including three crafts, two stories, and colouring—themed around the brand’s core values of friendship, messy play and the outdoors. There will be a pull-out reward chart, ‘Play with Posy’ mini activities, and a competition from toy partner, Bandai. The magazine comes with a Pip and Posy gardening set, seeds and sticker sheet.
Everything Pip and Posy magazine also incorporates educational content through the use of an Early Years Learning panel—developed by our specialist in-house team—with accessible activities geared towards developing key skills which are flagged throughout, added Kennedy Publishing. Grown-ups are addressed directly with suggestions on how to continue learning and play off the page.
“We first partnered with Magic Light Pictures when including Pip and Posy in Milkshake! magazine,” said Maddie Halladay, senior editor and licensing assistant at Kennedy Publishing. “We immediately saw its huge potential to delight our young readers. We particularly love the brand’s focus on imagination, fun and learning, which align with the core elements found across our whole pre-school portfolio.”
Hollie Bladen, Pip and Posy brand manager at Magic Light Pictures, said: “We’re so excited to see Pip and Posy come to life within the pages of the one-shot issue, it’s a really natural extension for the brand and allows the themes of friendship and play to be explored in a new way.”
This one-shot issue of Everything Pip and Posy magazine follows Kennedy Publishing’s other one-shot publications with brands such as Hot Wheels and Sylvanian Families. It is a welcome addition to Kennedy’s portfolio of pre-school titles, all written to provide fun and engaging activities that also aid in the development of key skills as laid out by the national curriculum.
