Key Publishing launches Homegrown Kitchen

Key Publishing has announced the launch of Homegrown Kitchen, a new monthly magazine celebrating the complete journey from garden to plate.

Brodie Baxter: “Homegrown Kitchen taps directly into how people want to live now.”

Created for committed gardeners, passionate growers and curious home cooks alike, Key Publishing says Homegrown Kitchen strips back the guesswork of growing and turns it into food worth celebrating. Each issue delivers expert advice on what to plant and when, practical techniques from trusted horticultural voices, and seasonal recipes that start in the soil and end on the dinner table. Rich photography and high quality content, connect garden and kitchen in a way that feels timely, useful and inspiring.

According to the publisher, every issue comes with free packets of seeds, putting the magazine’s philosophy straight into readers’ hands, and then onto their windowsills and allotments.

The title is edited by Ciar Byrne, an experienced journalist and trained horticulturist with a media background spanning over 25 years. Ciar brings both authority, and vast knowledge to the role, backed by formal training and hands-on experience, Key Publishing continued.

“Homegrown Kitchen taps directly into how people want to live now,” said Brodie Baxter, publisher at Key Publishing.

“Readers are hungry for practical, well-made content that helps them grow better and cook smarter. This magazine delivers both, with confidence and clarity — and the free seeds are our way of inviting readers to get started immediately.”

The launch of Homegrown Kitchen also marks a new chapter for Key Publishing, added the company. Long recognised for its content across the aviation, rail and transport sectors, the company says it is now expanding its portfolio, bringing the same editorial rigour to a new lifestyle category.

Homegrown Kitchen will be available on subscription and sold through over 2,000 retail outlets nationwide, including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, TG Jones, Sainsbury’s, and directly via the Key Publishing Shop.

The first issue of Homegrown Kitchen is on sale 22 January 2026, priced at £6.99.
