Subscribers will also receive a certificate of planting, which will include details of what type of tree is being planted and its location within the forest.
The promotion is launched on Monday 21st March and runs until Thursday 21st April, and aims to help British forestry through the use of magazine subscriptions. It will also raise awareness of how publishers are becoming more environmentally friendly with the printing of their magazines.
Don Brown (pictured), Business Director of www.magazine-group.co.uk said, “To mark Climate Week we’re trying to raise enough money to plant 1,000 trees with the Heart of England Forest Project. Magazine Group will make a donation for every order received via www.1000trees.co.uk
Magazine publishers take their environmental responsibilities very seriously and the industry has made great progress in recent years to promote recycling, lessen the environmental impact of printing and distribution, and reduce its carbon footprint. This is a small way for us to help this process.
There is no limit to the amount Magazine Group will donate under this scheme – our target is 1,000 trees, but we’d be absolutely delighted with 2,000, 5,000 or even more!”
