Mark will lead all Autocar departments, including its magazine, news and reviews-led website and video channels, and will oversee an ambitious growth strategy across the brand’s portfolio, says Haymarket.
"Autocar’s history extends over 120 years, and I’m thrilled to take charge of a brand with such a long and successful reputation for producing content that leads and defines the automotive industry and which is seen as the go-to title for car enthusiasts," said Mark.
"Our plans for the future are extremely exciting, both in print and digital, and I can’t wait to work with the team to put them into action and continue our upward trajectory as we reach more readers around the world than ever before."
Mark has been Autocar’s Deputy Editor since 2015 and was previously News Editor. He joined Autocar as a Reporter in 2009.
Autocar Editorial Director Jim Holder said: “Mark’s knowledge of the Autocar brand and the wider media landscape, plus his amazing track record as a journalist, put him in the ideal position to lead Autocar into what promises to be an exciting future."
Autocar Brand Director Rachael Prasher added: "As the automotive industry enters a defining era, Mark’s blend of talents will ensure that Autocar remains at the forefront of this change and continues to be the leading resource for forward-thinking motoring content."
