Media Voices have revealed the winners of the inaugural Publisher Newsletter Awards, following a ceremony which took place on Monday 17th July at Colours Hoxton in London.

Joanna Cummings: “A great newsletter should have all the elements of a mini magazine: it should have a strong editorial voice, be well curated, and form an ongoing relationship with the reader.”

Media Voices says the awards are a celebration of the newsletter success of publishers and media organisations, whether they’ve been in the space a while, or have just launched.

From over 150 entries and a strong shortlist of 114 newsletters, Media Voices says their judges marked the newsletters on a range of factors, including editorial quality, how well the newsletter reflected the publisher’s brand, and strategies to grow the audience.

“A great newsletter should have all the elements of a mini magazine: it should have a strong editorial voice, be well curated, and form an ongoing relationship with the reader,” said Awards Manager Joanna Cummings. “All the entrants to the awards - not just the winners - show that when it comes to maximising the potential of this often underrated but important form of media, publishers are leading the charge.”

Media Voices have announced the winners as follows:
