Naviga introduces AI-powered editorial tools to support journalists and newsrooms worldwide
Michael Moore: “Artificial intelligence has enormous potential to enhance editorial processes, but its success depends on understanding the real-world challenges journalists face every day.”

Naviga, a technology partner to the global media industry, has introduced new AI-driven capabilities designed to support journalists throughout the editorial process. The latest features aim to streamline newsroom workflows, enhance creativity, and help publishers better connect with audiences — all while keeping human editorial oversight at the centre.

The company says the AI-powered tools integrate into Naviga’s existing editorial environment, providing real-time assistance as journalists develop stories. Capabilities include automated image tagging and descriptions, contextual image suggestions, AI-generated headlines and summaries, and tools that surface relevant background questions to guide deeper reader engagement.

According to Naviga, the focus is not on replacing journalists but on reducing administrative tasks and enabling newsroom staff to spend more time on reporting and storytelling.

“Artificial intelligence has enormous potential to enhance editorial processes, but its success depends on understanding the real-world challenges journalists face every day,” said Michael Moore, CEO at Naviga, Publishing Division. “Our approach is grounded in partnership — both with our global teams and with our customers' editorial organizations.”

Naviga says it has supported media companies through multiple waves of industry transformation, evolving from on-premise publishing systems to cloud-based platforms, scalable SaaS offerings, and now AI-enabled automation. The company notes that ongoing collaboration between its international teams and customers has played a central role in shaping solutions that align with the needs of modern newsrooms.

The AI features are now being rolled out across Naviga’s editorial platforms, including Naviga Flow, the company’s cloud-based content production system, which continues to evolve to support expanding newsroom requirements.
