Comedian and presenter Mel Giedroyc loves talking about TV, says TVChoice. From Little House On The Prairie to Bridgerton, she’s seen it all. And she firmly believes that if you delve into someone’s personal list of top telly, you delve into their very soul.
What was the first programme they remember? What did they creep downstairs to watch after lights out? And what’s their favourite ever theme tune?
In My TV Years, from Bauer Media’s TVChoice, Mel grills famous guests for their telly-related memories in a bid to discover who they really are.
First up is Unforgotten’s Sanjeev Bhaskar – with other famous names on the way every Wednesday for eight weeks, including Location Location Location's Kirstie Allsopp, Outnumbered's Hugh Dennis and Coronation Street's Sally Ann Matthews.
Mel says: “Telly plays such a central role in all our lives and that’s why I’m going to be discussing all this, from reminiscing about old favourites to looking at current TV obsessions, with some of the nation’s favourite TV stars as they tell me all about their TV years.”
Jon Peake, Editor of TVChoice added: “It's a funny, nostalgic ramble through famous people's viewing habits - from their earliest telly memories, right up to their current box-set obsessions.”
You can listen here from 9am on Wednesday 23 Feb with a new episode weekly.
