Newsweek International chooses Exact Editions

Newsweek International offers library subscriptions in partnership with Exact Editions to advance its digital growth.

Newsweek International chooses Exact Editions
Daryl Rayner: “Exact Editions is delighted to work with the Newsweek brand in expanding the reach and revenue of its international edition to library audiences across the world.”

For almost a century, Newsweek has offered readers reporting on current affairs. Covering some of the biggest global events throughout its lifespan, the magazine has recently undergone a significant digital transformation, added Exact Editions.

The publication has now expanded this approach through a new partnership that brings its international edition to library markets worldwide. Exact Editions — a digital platform that hosts publications including New Scientist, The Times Literary Supplement, and New Statesman — says it will be selling digital subscriptions to Newsweek International to academic and research libraries globally.

This investment in institutional subscriptions recognises the library market's substantial value, added Exact Editions. Institutional subscriptions generate significantly higher revenue than individual subscriptions, whilst maintaining near-perfect renewal rates - for publishers, this can deliver positive financial returns and long-term stability, the company continued. Exact Editions says users can browse across the archive with fully-searchable functionality and app integration, all through seamless IP-authenticated access.

The availability of Newsweek International for library subscriptions aims to foster student engagement with high-quality journalism, news and information. The partnership has the potential for students to have long-term relationships with the Newsweek brand that continue well beyond their academic career, added Exact Editions.

Amit Shah, executive vice president of Newsweek International, commented: “Newsweek International is an integral part of Newsweek’s global remit for presenting trusted, reliable information to audiences across the world. We’re pleased to announce this partnership with Exact Editions, who have twenty years of experience in targeting high-value library subscriptions for industry-leading publishers.“

Daryl Rayner, managing director of Exact Editions, commented: “Exact Editions is delighted to work with the Newsweek brand in expanding the reach and revenue of its international edition to library audiences across the world. Ensuring people can enjoy reliable, trusted news is more important than ever, and it’s exciting to bring students seamless IP-authenticated digital access from such an esteemed publisher.”
