newsawards 2015 are the new-look annual Newspaper Awards – now in their 19th year – which have been re-launched in a new format this year to celebrate the three distinct news publishing categories. The black tie awards night also moves to a new venue – the Lancaster London, overlooking Hyde Park. Host for this year’s gala evening on 29 April is comedian Al Murray, aka The Pub Landlord.
Gary Cullum, director of newsawards, says: “2015 has seen a complete revamp of the Awards which have a fresh new image, a new format and a new venue. The new format divides the awards into three distinct sections: print, digital and business.
“Judging took place over three days at Fujifilm’s UK head office and at the Internet Advertising Bureau, where entries in 19 separate categories were scrutinised by more than 20 judges with specialist knowledge of all aspects of the industry.
“The standard of entry has been exceptional and we are now beginning to see clear evidence of how the industry is facing up to achieving success in these evolving and challenging times. It’s not simply a question of print versus digital, it’s about developing creative, commercial and innovative solutions designed to make the two work together to succeed into the future.”
newsawards 2015 features 19 categories showcasing the best in both printed and digital media. All the winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Wednesday 29 April at the Lancaster London.
