The PPA says its annual Independent Publishing Awards, which took place in London on Friday 22 November, celebrated the businesses, teams and individuals who delivered outstanding work across the independent publishing sector this year.
There was a shortlist of entries from every sector of the industry, all showcasing innovation, creativity and the talent that makes up the independent publishing sector, added the PPA.
The winners, which go through a two-step judging process, were selected by a panel of judges. The line up included writers, editors and marketers, commercial, and events and digital professionals.
The PPA says this year’s awards also featured new and updated categories including ‘Commercial Leader of the Year’, won by Matt Roclawski of TTG Media, and ‘Subscriptions & Memberships Strategy of the Year’, awarded to Propolis, B2B Marketing.
In front of over 300 from across the independent publisher network, the London ceremony was hosted by comedian and writer Suzi Ruffell.
Sajeeda Merali, PPA CEO comments: “It’s been an excellent year for the independent publishing sector, and this was reflected in the innovation, talent and creativity presented in entries across both business and consumer sectors. Congratulations to everyone who was shortlisted, the winners and thanks to those that attended the ceremony to support the nominees."
