BSME Awards announces shortlist

The British Society of Magazine Editors has unveiled the shortlist for the BSME Awards 2025.

BSME Awards announces shortlist
Andrea Thompson: “Congratulations to all the editors, art directors and columnists who are shortlisted for this year’s BSME Awards.”

The British Society of Magazine Editors says the BSME Awards recognise the work of some of the best editors, as well as art directors, writers and columnists, some of the best launches and covers. There are two special awards chosen by the BSME committee – the Mark Boxer Award and the Editors' Editor of the Year Award – which recognise individuals for their dedication and outstanding contribution.

BSME chair and Marie Claire editor-in-chief Andrea Thompson said: “Congratulations to all the editors, art directors and columnists who are shortlisted for this year’s BSME Awards.

"The standard of entries this year was particularly high and the judges have really enjoyed reading through the excellent content submitted - from powerful storytelling and investigative journalism to innovative digital art and design.

“We look forward to a brilliant evening on 27 November where we will recognise and celebrate the most outstanding editorial contributions of 2025 across the UK magazine sector."

Winners will be announced by hosts Laura Whitmore and Andrea Thompson on Thursday 27 November 2025 at a black-tie event at Rosewood London.
