Story House Egmont expands UK Disney rights

Story House Egmont has announced the expansion of its Disney rights in the UK with launch of two new Disney Frozen magazines and Disney Stars magazine.

Story House Egmont, one of Europe’s magazine publishers, has announced that it will publish Disney Frozen magazine, Disney Stars magazine and the brand-new Disney Frozen Ultimate Collection magazine from January 2025.

Story House Egmont says it has renewed its long-term collaboration with The Walt Disney Company. The publisher has announced it will continue to publish magazines in 27 countries across Europe and selected international markets, featuring brands and characters such as Disney’s Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Stitch, Winnie the Pooh, Frozen and Princess, Disney and Pixar’s Cars and Marvel’s Spider-Man, and many more. From 2025, Story House Egmont says it has also regained the position as magazine publisher in the UK for all Disney and Pixar franchise magazines. The collaboration spans 76 years, dating back to 1948, when media group Egmont first launched the Donald Duck magazine in Scandinavia, added the publisher.

According to Story House Egmont, Disney Frozen magazine will be a 3-weekly title, that brings to life the world of Arendelle. Each issue features characters Elsa, Anna, Olaf with a mixture of stories and activities. Disney Frozen magazine went on sale from Wednesday 8th January.

Disney Frozen Ultimate Collection magazine is a brand-new offering for the primary category, added the publisher. The magazine content and covermounts will focus on a mix of activity and dress up. Disney Frozen Ultimate Collection magazine will have a monthly frequency. The first issue went on-sale from Wednesday 1st January.

Disney Stars magazine celebrates the very best of Disney, says Story House Egmont. Each issue will explore a different brand, delving deep into the magic of Disney. The first issue went on-sale from Wednesday 1st January.
