The 68-page giant-size first issue launches with a £2.99 cover price (regular price £2.70 and 52 pages) the week before Terminator thunders into UK cinemas.
Terminator Salvation is a prequel to the original films and the fourth Terminator movie and marks the start of a brand new trilogy. Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, an adult John Connor is fighting in the resistance against Skynet’s growing army of cyborgs. But when a mysterious stranger walks into his life, everything that he has ever known – the future his mother warned him about – is turned on its head.
Stars include Christian Bale (The Dark Knight, 3:10 to Yuma) as John Connor plus Helena Bonham Carter (Sweeney Todd, Corpse Bride) and Anton Yelchin (Star Trek). The film is released in over 600 UK cinemas on 5 June.
Terminator Salvation has the backing of massive marketing spend with lavish campaigns encompassing TV, outdoor, print and on-line.
The film that started it all, Terminator, was released in 1984. The franchise now includes three movies, a television show, dozens of comics and novels, numerous games, a wide range of merchandise… and more is on the way.
