The BRIT School Takes Over Company

As part of its BRIT’s partnership, Company magazine invited six BRIT School Students to guest edit the music section of the magazine’s March issue.

The six students were selected by their teachers to take part in the guest editorship and spent a day in the office of Company choosing their top tips for artists, tracks to watch out for in the coming month and selecting their all time favourite BRITs school alumni. The students also took part in a Street Style section for Company.co.uk.

BRIT school student Priscilla Ngethe, 18, was given the additional opportunity to interview BRIT Critics Choice Award winner, Emeli Sandé, for the magazine.

Company is now compiling a playlist of the BRIT students top music picks which will be pushed out via Spotify on Company’s facebook page.

Company is proud to be the only women’s magazine with a dedicated music section. The partnership with the BRITs reinforces its support of the British recorded music industry and, in 2010, the magazine first launched its annual ‘BRIT girl’ search. The winner of the title is given a place on the BRITs voting panel, backstage access at the BRIT Awards and the opportunity to write for Company’s music section.

Editor of Company, Victoria White, says: “We loved having the BRITs school students in the office. They had loads of great ideas for the mag's music section. My spotify playlist is a lot better for it in fact! As part of our partnership with the BRIT Awards, we suggested we do more with BRIT school and we couldn't be more happier with the results.”

The full BRIT School Takeover feature in the March issue of Company on sale now.
