Owen Griffiths: “As we look forward to the 2025/2026 Football season we’re delighted to partner with Midnite and offer fans the ultimate cash reward and an alternative way to interact with their favourite players."

The Sun and Midnite, one of the UK’s fastest-growing sportsbook and casino sites, has announced a new partnership for the return of The Sun Dream Team, one of the UK’s biggest commercial fantasy football games.

The Sun says this collaboration will see Midnite become the official partner for its fantasy league competition, which enables fans to choose their favourite players and create their ultimate dream team.

The new partnership with Midnite will provide users with a player-centric experience whilst also being guided by The Sun Sport’s news and expert analysis to inform their player choices throughout the season. The collaboration underscores Midnite's commitment to delivering a superior player experience with an user-friendly website and app, a core tenet of the challenger brand's mission to disrupt the traditional gambling landscape, added the publisher.

The Sun Dream Team presents an opportunity for participants to win various cash prizes, including a grand prize of £60,000, the publisher continued.

Dream Team provides a platform for fans to immerse themselves in the excitement of the new Football season. With coverage across multiple competitions, including the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League, and Europa League, participants can enjoy the fantasy experience. The publisher says the scoring system rewards players for positive actions such as goals, assists, clean sheets, and appearances lasting over 60 minutes, ensuring every match matters. Bonus points are awarded based on Player Performance Marks (PPM), judged by Sun journalists, adding an extra layer of strategy and exhilaration to the game.

Owen Griffiths, commercial revenue director, The Sun, said: “As we look forward to the 2025/2026 Football season we’re delighted to partner with Midnite and offer fans the ultimate cash reward and an alternative way to interact with their favourite players in the biggest football league in the world.

“The Sun Dream Team is an important part of our identity, and this collaboration will enable fans to fully utilize all we have to offer, while also providing Midnite a new audience to strengthen its position as a disruptor brand in the market.”

Luke Gough, betting sales director, The Sun, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Midnite for the 25/26 season. This partnership is an incredible opportunity to combine Midnite’s innovative bookmaker platform with the iconic fantasy football experience that Sun Dream Team offers. Together, we’re creating something unique for football fans, providing them with new ways to engage, compete, and enjoy the games they love.”

Ryan Murton, vice president, commercial, Midnite, said: “We are incredibly proud to partner with The Sun for Dream Team. The competition is a true institution in fantasy football, with a long history of engaging millions of fans.

“As a challenger brand, this partnership is a significant milestone for Midnite and a testament to our commitment to disrupting the market. We look forward to delivering a truly best-in-class fantasy experience, blending The Sun's heritage with our cutting-edge, proprietary technology for a new generation of players."
