Time Out has announced a new 10-year franchise agreement with ITP Media Group, one of its longest-standing franchise partners, which will see the company operate Time Out Hong Kong and Time Out Singapore.
The agreement builds on a successful relationship spanning more than 20 years, says Time Out, during which ITP has operated Time Out franchises in cities across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), including Time Out Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha, Riyadh and Jeddah. Under the new agreement, ITP Media will assume responsibility for Time Out's Media operations in Hong Kong and Singapore, including digital platforms, social channels, events and experiential activations. Time Out Hong Kong and Time Out Singapore will continue to publish under the Time Out brand through a long-term franchise partnership with Time Out Group.
Hong Kong and Singapore are two of Asia's most dynamic cities, added Time Out, known for their world-class food scenes, vibrant cultural offerings and international audiences. Time Out has built strong brands in both markets, helping millions of people discover the best things to do, see and eat through trusted local recommendations and expert city coverage.
The partnership reflects Time Out's strategy of working with experienced local operators who can build strong local businesses while maintaining the editorial quality, trusted recommendations and city expertise that define the Time Out brand globally.
Rob Biagioni, CEO of Time Out Media, said: "ITP has been a trusted Time Out franchise partner for more than 20 years, and this new 10-year agreement reflects the strength of that relationship and our confidence in their ability to continue growing the brand.
“Hong Kong and Singapore are two of Asia's most exciting urban destinations and remain important markets for Time Out. We are delighted to be working with ITP on this next chapter and look forward to seeing the brand continue to thrive in both cities."
Martin Chambers, managing director at ITP Media Group, said: "We are proud to strengthen our long-standing relationship with Time Out through this new agreement.
“Time Out is one of the world's most recognisable city brands, and Hong Kong and Singapore are territories with enormous opportunities for growth across content, commercial partnerships, events and experiences. We look forward to building on Time Out's strong foundations and continuing to connect audiences with the very best of city life."
The agreement forms part of Time Out's wider franchise strategy, enabling the brand to grow through experienced local operators while maintaining the editorial standards and trusted recommendations that audiences expect from Time Out, the publisher continued.
Time Out Hong Kong and Time Out Singapore will continue serving audiences, readers, commercial partners and contributors with no interruption to operations.
