whynow Media, the team behind the arts and entertainment website whynow.co.uk, has announced the launch of its latest website, whynow Gaming. The new site includes news, features, opinions and reviews from the games industry, blended with material from Wireframe magazine, which was recently acquired by whynow Media.
Ryan Lambie, former editor of Wireframe, moved across to whynow following the acquisition and heads up the editorial team at whynow Gaming.
whynow Media started as a digital magazine, whynow.co.uk, in 2019 and was founded by Gabriel Jagger. The ethos of the brand is to champion the good in the world, with a particular focus on the arts, including film, TV, music and theatre, added the publisher.
The acquisition of Wireframe, and Lambie joining the team, has allowed the popular cultural site to expand into more in-depth coverage of gaming, and to add to its already extensive coverage of arts and entertainment.
Ryan Lambie, editor of whynow Gaming said: “After weeks of hard work it’s great to get whynow Gaming out into the world. The ethos of whynow.co.uk is to champion the arts and find the positive stories in the world of entertainment, and whynow Gaming is no different. We don’t just review the games, we meet the people behind them too, and champion the industry that brings so much joy to so many people.”
Simon Brew, head of publishing at whynow said: “It’s great to have Ryan Lambie join the team at whynow and to have our new site up and running. We’ve been working on a gaming launch for some time, and I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to bring such a brilliant editor to our team, and also to carry on the standards set by Wireframe magazine.”
