The new 60-page magazine, the result of three months’ planning and hard work, says Archant, features profiles on the county’s firms and business people, together with columnists and pictures of business events and awards involving Devon companies.
The magazine will be given away free with the April issue of Archant's Devon Life and extra run-on copies are to be produced for distribution at key businesses and networks in the county. The magazine will be published quarterly.
The magazine will be officially launched with a special evening at Sandy Park, home of the Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club, on March 26, when the special guest will be the Chiefs’ highly successful head coach Rob Baxter, who will discuss the secrets behind his success.
Devon Life Editor Andy Cooper said: “It’s been a good project to work on. We set out with the intention of not just creating one of those ‘same old, same old’ business magazines featuring the same worthy, tired content which turns off the audience.
“The mantra for this magazine was ‘written BY business people FOR business people’ and I hope we have managed to achieve that.
“Special mentions must to go to freelance business writer Kate Williams, who returned early from maternity leave because she was so keen to help with the launch, and advertising consultant Llewellyn Nicholls for the way he worked so closely with us to get this project off the ground.”
