As of 1 October, Dr Philipp Meixner (37) is responsible for the acquisition of digital companies in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, France, Spain, the USA and Australia in the newly created role of Chief Investment Officer, says Bauer Media Group. In addition to M&As and the respective strategy, Dr. Philipp Meixner’s responsibilities also include the activities of Bauer Venture Capital.
Dr Meixner comes from ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, where he was Investment Director for digital business. Dr Meixner began his career at an international investment bank and worked for a leading management consultancy firm for several years. As the CEO of a digital lifestyle portal, Dr. Meixner also gained experience as an entrepreneur. Dr Meixner received his Ph.D. in the field of business administration at the University of St. Gallen.
