As well as his highly successful editorships at Smash Hits, heat, Time Out and others, in recent years Frith has carved out a reputation for working creatively with different magazine teams in a consultancy capacity. In the last few years he has worked with brands across the spectrum, from Conde Nast's biannual fashion title, Love, to Bauer Media's own more! to Egmont's new teen launch, We Love Pop!

Abby Carvosso (pictured), currently head of magazine sales, has been promoted to the newly created role of MD, Lifestyle & Advertising, with immediate effect. Carvosso will lead an integrated approach across the Lifestyle editorial and commercial operations. She joined Emap, on the launch of Red magazine, in 1997. Over the past 14 years she held a number of strategic senior roles within the Emap and Bauer Media advertising and publishing operations, including commercial director of New Woman, launch publisher of Grazia and deputy MD of the Women’s Lifestyle portfolio.

Paul Keenan, CEO, Bauer Media, said: “These appointments are indicative of Bauer Media’s continued commitment and investment in the delivery of world class editorial products and commercial operations. Mark and Abby are both very strong, very talented leaders and will play an important part in the further development of our vision for the future.”

Frith will be responsible for further improving the editorial quality of Bauer Media’s portfolio of leading lifestyle magazines and digital brands. He will work to identify, mentor and develop the very best editorial talent and further increase understanding and levels of audience engagement.

Mark Frith said: “I'm delighted to be joining Bauer Media in this newly created role. The company is home to some legendary brands and exceptional editorial teams and I can’t wait to get started!”

Carvosso will be responsible for the delivery of Bauer Media’s world class lifestyle magazines, including Grazia, more! Yours, Top Santé and its portfolio of parenting, music, men’s and film brands, and also for driving the advertising sales operation across all London Lifestyle titles. She will also seek to identify and drive new product and revenue opportunities across all platforms.

Abby Carvosso said: “I am thrilled to be taking on this new role across the Lifestyle portfolio. I am very excited to be working with our outstanding creative and commercial teams to deliver world class content, develop innovative commercial partnerships and to ensure we continue to create the UK’s most influential and trusted brands.”
