Lydia Slater: “We look forward to connecting with our readers in person, and hearing from inspiring female leaders and professional women from all walks of life.”

Hearst UK says the Bazaar At Work Summit is to be held on Tuesday 3 December 2024 at the Kimpton Fitzroy London hotel in Bloomsbury. The day-long conference will bring together female leaders and professional women from all walks of life for a series of dynamic conversations, thought-provoking interviews, keynote speeches and panel discussions, plus networking opportunities, added the publisher.

Titled 'Reach for the stars: new heights and new horizons', Hearst UK says the event will be dedicated to exploring how women can harness ambition to scale new challenges in their careers.

Building on the past seven annual events, Hearst UK says this year’s line-up will include the following highlights:

  • Actress and businesswoman Elizabeth Hurley will kick off the day by sharing the lessons learnt from her long and varied career.
  • NASA’s Head of Science, Dr Nicola Fox, who became only the second woman to be head of science at NASA when she took the post in 2023 and has been at the forefront of some of the most exciting developments in space exploration over the last 20 years – including launching the Parker Solar Probe in 2018 – will be sharing the insights she has learnt from a lifetime of looking at the stars.
  • Dr Maureen Dunne and architect Linda Morey Burrows will lead an discussion on how to optimise the workforce of tomorrow.
  • A conversation on how technology is revolutionising our wellbeing and how we can take a more holistic approach to our success and productivity with Annika Bizon, marketing and omnichannel director (MX Division) and Head of Ireland, Samsung UK, and executive career coach Dalbir Bains.

Lydia Slater, editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar, said: “Building on a strong legacy of empowering women for over 150 years, Harper’s Bazaar is delighted to partner with the Samsung Galaxy Ring for the eighth Bazaar At Work Summit. We look forward to connecting with our readers in person, and hearing from inspiring female leaders and professional women from all walks of life.”

Annika Bizon, marketing and omnichannel director & head of Ireland – Mobile eXperience, Samsung UK, said: “Empowering women at work and creating pathways to leadership is vital. This means supporting women in their careers who are often juggling many plates, meaning their own wellbeing is deprioritised. That’s why we are delighted to partner with the Bazaar at Work Summit to encourage women to use technology such as the Samsung Galaxy Ring to understand their health and reach their full potential.”

Previous speakers include the two-time World Champion athlete, Katarina Johnson-Thompson, actress-writer-director, Zawe Ashton, pioneering fashion designer Clare Waight Keller, the award-winning actress Lesley Manville and Britain’s fastest woman Dina Asher-Smith.
