BBC Good Food Magazine launches in Hungary and Turkey

The BBC Good Food Magazine is now available in Hungary and Turkey, following licensing deals secured by BBC Worldwide’s exclusive sales agent, Immediate Media Co, with Hungary’s Kossuth Publishing Group and Karma Medya in Turkey.

The launch issue of BBC Good Food Hungary, dated March 2012, is now on sale with a special introductory cover price of HUF 395 (£1.15). The initial print run is 45,000 copies and each issue will consist of 30% locally produced content.

Editor-in-chief of BBC Good Food Magazine in Hungary, Gábor Izbéki, said: “The ever-reliable BBC Good Food brand has many devotees in Hungary, so there is a considerable anticipation for the magazine to launch here. Cookery titles are the only magazines which have achieved significant growth within the last year, so we are confident that this internationally recognized title will be well received by food lovers.”

This follows the success of the launch issue of BBC Good Food Turkey in November 2011. The initial print run was 25,000 copies, with a cover price of 6,000 TL (£2.15), and each issue consists of 45% locally produced content.

Editor of BBC Good Food Magazine in Turkey, Perihan Kafkas, said: “With its innovative structure and dynamic content, we are excited to be introducing BBC Good Food Magazine to Turkey which we are sure will be warmly embraced by Turkish readers seeking inspiration for cooking delicious food in their homes, no matter what their skill level.”
