BikeRadar extends its global reach with Italian launch

Future plc unveiled plans at Eurobike 2013 for further international growth with the launch of BikeRadar.it.

The Italian-language site will, says Future, be part of the only true independent and integrated cycling platform in the territory, with expert journalism tailored to the local interest, and will plug into the 24/7 global BikeRadar network.

BikeRadar.it will also be aligned with a series of print bookazines, like BiciFit, the first Italian fitness cycling brand, which is already available on the Italian newsstands.

The launch will be supported by a permanent team of editorial, sales and marketing professional under the structure of Future Media Italia srl, a new company created in Italy with offices in Milan and headed up by Tino Cennamo, Future Managing Director of International Markets.

An Italian version is the next step in developing Bikeradar’s international reach and is the first regionally focused site outside of the UK or US, which already generates 29 million page views and 3.4 million unique users a month. Further expansion will follow in Germany and in other major European countries.

Tino Cennamo, says, “BikeRadar Italy will offer a unique advertising opportunity, targeting the Italian market as part of an established global network. Its contents, covering the whole available platform (print and digital) and the world of cycling for people of all abilities and interests, will draw a large entry-level audience, giving advertisers greater opportunity and scale.

“BikeRadar Italy will cover the total cycling experience from product test to fitness advice – targeting everyone from enthusiasts to casual cyclists. Our integrated cross platform approach, and global network, will really leverage advertising investment.”

BikeRadar.it will be officially launched to consumers in January 2014.
