Mail hits 4M YouTube subscribers
Ben Rabinovich: “Passing the four million subscriber mark on the Daily Mail YouTube channel and more widely earning four Creator Awards are phenomenal milestones.”

Daily Mail says this caps off a stellar 2024 so far for the team, led by Tony Manfred and Lisa Snell, who have recently launched a new Global Video Strategy.

According to the publisher, the team are also on track to double the main channel views and generate tens of millions of hours of watch time across the portfolio of Mail YouTube accounts.

Daily Mail’s YouTube strategy has gone from strength to strength since it launched in 2020, added the publisher. In four years, the portfolio has expanded from a single channel to eight, which has seen year-on-year growth every year across views and subscribers, earning four Creator Awards in the process.

Daily Mail says notable success stories on the main channel include:

  • Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard trial gaining 110 million views
  • The new hit show, War on Tape, generating over one million hours of watch time
  • Daily Mail Royals’ Palace Confidential being watched over 100 million times

dmg media head of video distribution, Ben Rabinovich said: “Passing the four million subscriber mark on the Daily Mail YouTube channel and more widely earning four Creator Awards are phenomenal milestones. I couldn’t be prouder of the achievements.

“Special mention goes to Tony Manfred for his leadership, Sam Owen and Melvin Rao in the Video Distribution team, Luke Blackall, and Patrick Bulger’s incredible Shows team. The last four years of our YouTube strategy have been about putting all the right pieces in all the right places and I am incredibly excited for what we have coming up.”
